Me and my friends went to OVERLOOK RESORT last Sunday. We were courteously welcomed by their receptionist. The rooms are nice and basic amenities at the price range (P1500/night for twin sharing), Overlook has suites which are more classy but still affordable.
View of Metro Manila at night is fantastic! The resort's food choices are what we want, mostly tapsilog stuff, and targeting budget travelers. You can bring your own food and just use the facilities should you wish.
We tried to swim at the pool, the water is nice and clean. The staff are very courteous and friendly.
They're constructing 3 videoke rooms, which will be available before the end of February. Also, there's a huge garden at the back of the resort, perfectly ideal for weddings and special events. I'll definitely return to Overlook Resort, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay!

I have been coming to Overlook Resort for the last four or five years. I have found it to be well run and well staffed. The amenities are not the greatest but they have served me and my family and friends well. There are now four or five back to back resorts near Overlook. A block or two away, there are another half dozen ones. I stil prefer to stay at Overlook reosrt which to me is cozy and more fun to stay in. The amenities and staff have been great. I have seen this rsort evolve over the years and every year it gets better. As in many inns and places to stay in the Phil. Overlook has some negatives but the positives well outweigh the negatives. My compliments to the mangement and staff. More power. You have done a great job.

ReplyDeleteIt’s more fun in the Philippines. How appropriate. Whoever thought of this slogan is a genius.
ReplyDeleteTruly the Philippines is a fun place. The colorful cities, barrios and people all combine to give the country a fiesta ambiance.
This blogger is a backpack tourist and an expert in bargain travel in Asia. I am a penny pincher so I research my travel carefully. I have travelled to all parts of the Philip[pines. This year I will revisit Luzon and its bigger cities.
I have been here since February this year. I stayed almost all the time in Antipolo because it is near Manila and being higher, lots cooler. Plus it offers great views of the city. I have seen many tourist spots in this city but I was most impressed by the historic Hinulugang Taktak. This is a really grand and pretty waterfall. Too bad it has been allowed to deteriorate. It is a crime that such a natural wonder has become so polluted and dirty. One other annoying thing I have encountered in the city is the huge number of tricycles. And nearly all of them have motors with decibel levels close to a 747. Enough noise to loosen your fillings. They should pass a law which prohibits such ruckus or mandate silencers for the infernal mufflers.
There are many good and inexpensive restaurants and places to stay in Antipolo. I decided to give Overlook Resort a try because it seemed a bargain and it is close to the falls. Good food here and great prices. Plus the staff is really nice. Check out the view at sunset and at night. Fill a cooler with ice and cold beer and gaze out at the fantastic nightscape of the city. You could almost feel your blood pressure drop.
We had our last meeting and seminar at Overlook. More than 150 persons attended the event. The total price was a surprise. It came in under our budget. Needless to say we were very happy. Overlook is highly recommended. Good service. Great price. What more can you ask for A solid value for companies and groups looking to save money

ReplyDeleteMabuti na lang ibinigay sa amin ng Overlook Resort yung Master Suite. Fully booked sila pero they let us sleep in the Master Suite. This was a very Christian gesture and we will never forget this act of kindness. God Bless you Overlook Resort. Mabuhay kayo!
ReplyDeleteNo need to go to Tagaytay, Laguna, Batangas or Bulacan. Overlook Resort is only half an hour away from our Metro Manila offices. We selected it because of the proximity, good food and service and out of this world price. How do they do it?
ReplyDeleteMy family and several friends spent a three day weekend at Overlook Resort last month and we all thank the resort staff for a wonderful stay. In contradiction to what some blogs said about this resort, we found it very clean and well managed. The water in all four pools was very clean and the entire facility was well maintained and clean. It is possible that the people who wrote the negative blogs went to the resort during a heavy and busy day or in between cleaning or who knows, maybe they have an axe to grind or worse, maybe they own or work in a competing resort.
ReplyDeleteI am writing this blog in fairness to the owners and managers and staff of Overlook Resort who have done and are doing a good job.
Nobody has to believe what I say here. The proof of the pudding is in the tasting. Check out the resort personally and with your own eyes. Do not just believe what people say on the net. I also advise bloggers who want to compare Overlook to the surrounding resorts such as Rosalinda, Angela, Femar’s and other resorts nearby to do so objectively and truthfully. If they do this, they will blog the truth that Overlook is better than these others.
