From a satisfied Overlook Resort guest

As an HRD  coordinator for venues during our seminars and trainings I find it very difficult  to locate  a nice venue with a good price. My dilemma is that our company wants to use a venue which is nice and inexpensive, kind of like a champagne taste but a beer budget.

Like everyone else I researched the internet and followed up with calls and ocular inspections. There are many resorts scattered around Metro Manila and nearby areas. I did not find many blog sites which comment on the various resort hotels offering conference facilities, therefore I really needed to do some leg work and be resourceful and inventive.  After much work and eyestrain from looking at my computer screen, I have decided to focus on Bulacan and Antipolo venues.  I finally settled on Antipolo because it is closer and because of the trees and scenery- also many resorts offer spectacular overlooking views, such as Villa Cristina, Overlook Resort, Hilltop and Loreland. It’s a mixed bag of venues from small to medium and large ones. I decided to try Overlook Resort because it is just the right size for our trainings and seminars and it has a beautiful view of the city. Plus their website is nice and has many positive testimonials. Best of all, pasok sa budget namin.  Hindi siya fancy. Just the basics.  5 pools which are clean and a big garden with plenty of trees and shade. Bottom line,  we had a good time and  our event was very successful.  Naka save pa kami.

I hope this blog helps other HRD and coordinators assigned to find a good seminar venue at the right price.

Ang saya sa Overlook Resort Antipolo

Wow. Ganito pala sa Antipolo at Overlook Resort. Crowded as in  Pero may malaking garden na marami puno at lilim.  Hindi na lang kami ng swim ng friends ko, kasi dami tao. Dito na lang kami sa garden and shade ngchika chika- at lumamon.  Dami name dala pagkain and BEER.  Fantastic.

Advice lang. Wag kayo pupunta mgswimming sa mga malalaking resort dito.  Kakatakot na tao. Tulad s Bosay resort, parking naming ang layo. Kasi wala ng space. Lakad kami under the hot sun. Stay at smaller resorts. Marami jan. Google lang nyo. Dito kami napadpad dahil may bakante pa  at medyo mura. May mga promo. Hirap lang nila tawagan, parati busy . Ciguro dahil dami tumatawag.  Wag Kayo mgdadala ng drinks ditto. Dito na ninyo bilhin para wala ng binibitbit.

By the way we took a side trip to a small restaurant nearby, the Vieux Chalet. Hope I spelled that right. Maganda at  ok and food. Mahal nga lang. Ngpunta din kami sa Villa cristina. Malaki ito at marami pool. Dun na ako sa Overlook.  Mas mura at  mas OK. Hindi ito Makati resort pero swak sa budget namin and overall we liked it.

Sana makatulong itong blog ko sa inyo lahat.  Sana marami mgcomment ng ganito para sa mga vacationers from metro who are trying to get away for a weekend outing and swimming.

Enjoy.

Overlook Resort Antipolo City

Me and my friends went to OVERLOOK RESORT last Sunday. We were courteously welcomed by their receptionist. The rooms are nice and basic amenities at the price range (P1500/night for twin sharing), Overlook has suites which are more classy but still affordable.

View of Metro Manila at night is fantastic! The resort's food choices are what we want, mostly tapsilog stuff, and targeting budget travelers. You can bring your own food and just use the facilities should you wish.

We tried to swim at the pool, the water is nice and clean. The staff are very courteous and friendly.

They're constructing 3 videoke rooms, which will be available before the end of February. Also, there's a huge garden at the back of the resort, perfectly ideal for weddings and special events. I'll definitely return to Overlook Resort, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay!
